🛡️ Solana Mobile dApp Store Publisher Policy Compliant

1. Introduction & Core Privacy Commitment

Welcome to Quran Kareem. We respect your privacy in the absolute highest regard. Quran Kareem is built from the ground up to be an ad-free, non-commercial, and 100% privacy-focused mobile application for reading, listening to, and reflecting upon the Holy Qur’an.

This Privacy Policy explains how Quran Kareem operates, our strict data minimization principles, and our compliance with the Solana Mobile dApp Store Publisher Policy.

2. Zero Personal Data Collection

Quran Kareem does NOT collect, harvest, store, or transmit any personal information or telemetry data. Specifically:

  • No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.
  • No Device Identifiers: We do not track Advertising IDs, IMEI numbers, MAC addresses, or hardware signatures.
  • No Telemetry or Analytics: We do not utilize any analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or Mixpanel) to monitor user behavior or app usage.
  • No Advertising & Trackers: The application contains zero third-party ad networks, trackers, or SDKs.

3. Zero Sensitive Device Permissions

To safeguard user privacy, Quran Kareem requires no privacy-sensitive permissions to function. The app does not request access to:

  • GPS or Fine/Coarse Location data
  • Camera or Microphone
  • Device Contacts or Call Logs
  • External Storage or File System access

4. On-Device Storage & Data Security

All user-created data — including bookmarks, personal notes, reading progress, verse reminders, and app settings — are stored strictly locally on your device using encrypted Android local storage mechanisms (Room database and Jetpack DataStore).

Because all data remains on your physical device, we do not operate external database servers that store or backup your personal notes or reflections.

5. Network Requests & Content Providers

To provide features such as audio recitations, translations, and tafsir texts, Quran Kareem may make direct HTTPS requests to reputable open-access digital Islamic content repositories:

  • QuranEnc / Tanzil: For fetching translation and tafsir text packages.
  • EveryAyah / Tarteel / Quranicaudio: For streaming or downloading audio recitation files requested by the user.

These network requests are strictly functional and contain zero user identifiers, tracking tokens, or personal parameters.

6. Open Source Transparency (GPLv3)

Quran Kareem is released as Free Open Source Software (FOSS) under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3). The complete source code of the application is publicly audit-able on GitHub. Anyone can inspect the code to independently verify our privacy guarantees.

7. Compliance with Solana Mobile Publisher Policy

This policy is designed to fully meet and exceed the requirements outlined in the Solana Mobile dApp Store Publisher Policy. We maintain user trust by guaranteeing transparent data practices, security compliance, and full open-source governance.
